You would love love it, the amount of creative energy all in one place at one time is palpable

Congrats on having a fabulous time despite almost having to suffer from the inability to open a package in order to have your morning coffee! That would definitely be included in my review of the hotel!

Interesting doorway. I love Erma Bombeck, but I don’t understand that quote.

You had to walk almost 12 inches before the door before it would slide open, blew my mind every time. Her quote has to do with sharing your creative projects, thoughts and ideas with others and not being afraid that you’re not good enough or fear of people’s reactions

Oh geez the door looked just as you described.I guess when I was younger I might have had reservations of my abilities, now I write for me and others seem to enjoy it too.that old adage, youth is wasted on the young is true..cheers friend

Love to spread the fun, it’s a joy to be surrounded and embraced by people who all want to live a creative life, each in their own way. Ps – I tried biting the coffee package first…)

We are even more miles apart Beth, as I am taking a break and holidaying in Ballarat at my brothers place … but I can still feel the fun and excitement of your wonderful Workshop …

Erma nailed it. Having to speak or worse — read my stuff — to a writing class was indeed painful.
Not sure I ever would have figured out that door, or even known it was a door.

yes, she was so spot on. as for the door, I kept thinking it was a window and saw people inside and couldn’t figure out how they got in there. I finally had to stand with my face inches from the ‘door’ and it slid open

This was so cool, Beth. I loved Erma. You remind me of myself — having trouble getting any kind of package open. You should see some of the epic fights I’ve gotten into with twist-top bottles… Hugs on the wing.

When I saw the Selectric II I thought, “Oh no, now that’s in a MUSEUM???” I was relieved to know it was a famous writer’s typewriter. And it does take a lot of courage to share your dreams with others, sometimes even to admit them to yourself.
