i’ve got the music in me…

Standard

(not me, and i don’t have a dog, but how i imagine many passengers react (inside) to my car singing)

during my weekday commutes

i spend my time

listening to books, radio, podcasts

and

singing along to a wide range of music

with mixed reviews.

“music doesn’t get in. music is already in. music simply uncovers what is there, makes you feel emotions that you didn’t necessarily know you had inside you, and runs around waking them all up. a rebirth of sorts.”

  1. When on a car trip, my MUST HAVE is the CD of The Doobie Brothers Greatest Hits. Windows up, mouth moving, head moving, shoulders moving and even hands drumming on the steering wheel. After 3 consecutive play-throughs, I’ll switch to something else, but I always go back to it!

  2. As for dogs in cars and the driver singing — Teddy loves to listen to me sing with the radio in the car. Especially Peaceful Easy Feeling. I think he thinks our pack is howling to reaffirm our bonds. I’m sure your hypothetical dog would love it, too.
