off to the pacific ocean
outrigger canoeing
stop at a little beach
warm swim in the salty ocean water
short walk to a hidden waterfall
sit under the cool water
snack on fresh fruits
ending the day walking into a tiny beach bar
enjoying a costa rican cocktail of passion fruit and local sugar cane liquor
as the sun went down over the water
going to the river the morning after
for a boat ride through the mangroves
sharing space with
crocodiles, pelicans, egrets, herons, storks, white-faced monkeys, macaws
all of them protected and safe.
“water is the driving force of all nature.”

Water is the beginning and the driving force, Leonardo was right on that part of the equation. Lovely pics Beth. It certainly looks like a beautiful place!

Looks great, shame I can’t swim.
We have Egrets in Beetley, they live near the small river across the road from my house.
No crocodiles here though. :)
Best wishes, Pete.

How wonderful, Beth! We’re thinking of buying a canoe, so this was fun to read. The water, the canoe, the cocktail :), and nature. What could be better!

it’s a winning combo in my book and I hope you do buy that canoe

There IS magic in the world and it IS contained in water (and many other things). I’ve heard fantastic things about the Pacific side. Enjoy!

Wow, Beth…this is really a trip you will never forget…no monuments, no man made anything, just being in the hands of Mother Nature and the things she made. I’m so happy for you. ❤️

We take water for granted. But water is a sacred gift on our planet … and perhaps it’s time to begin to let go of its entertainment value. It’s our savior. Just sayin 💐🙏🏻💕
