The various birds of the Crow family are intelligent and able to learn skills easily. The farmers around where I live shoot them for some reason. I find that very sad.

Yes! Another bird that is very intelligent is the pigeon. I remember watching a documentary on them and my whole perspective of them changed.

Makes me think of Aesop’s fable about the crow and the pitcher of water. I read an article about them in National Georgraphic (I think). They’re smart and clever. Ravens sound interesting, too.

I had a pet crow when I was a little girl and I can attest to their intelligence from being privileged enough to have my fine feathered friend adopt me. We were inseparable. I miss him to this day!

They truly are very clever, and I wouldn’t dare upset them…. but they also are a very noisy lot. I find them fascinating and disturbing at the same time.
