  9. I am sorry that you are feeling under the weather. Sometimes I think that colds are God’s way of telling us to slow down for a little bit. I can believe that certainly fits your life. I hope you are feeling better soon!

    Father Latour tells his young protege, Bernard Ducrot, that he wants to die in Santa Fe. His feeling of dying, however, does not come so much from weakness or illness, but rather from the fullness of the life he has lived in service of his diocese.

  21. So sorry you’re under the weather and wishing you a quick recovery. Glad to see that you include soup in your arsenal. My theory about why chicken soup is so healing? It’s all the antibiotics they feed the chickens! That and garlic. Take care.

  30. Aw sorry you’re ailing. Blah. It’s that time of the year, I guess. The wee monkey is adorable and I’m sure would be willing to spend the afternoon with you, both in your blankets and napping. So very sweet. Hope you’re better faster than lightening, if that’s possible. It it’s not, you’ll just set a new record.

  37. I can’t remember my last cold but I think of them as a gift. A way to cuddle up with the blankets and baby yourself for a bit. We never seem to get there without a good reason. Hot soup and lots of sleep. Hope you are better after the appropriate amount of rest.
