What? I’ve never heard of this. That’s an amazing idea to make paints out of foraged plants. And I like the resulting colors on the paper in the last photo.

we made just a few colors last night, because it is a long process, but I was really happy with how they turned out. I’m sure this is how ancients have been doing it for years

I loved your last statement, “From the garden and the forest, to the art, to the heart.” I bet your students were glued to watching the process. I have often thought about the paints artists used hundreds of years ago.

this was a lesson for the teachers. it was a few hours after school and so great. we plan to teach it in some way to our children.
