very cold scene from ‘the shining.’ (warner brothers)
does anyone else watch movies set in the snow and became freezing just watching them?
it all starts out well enough
suddenly dawning on me
the characters
have spent much of the movie in the freezing snow.
once i realize this, there is no going back,
it begins to feel so very cold.
consider this a warning or cautionary tale.

This is the first film I saw that made me feel cold watching it. I saw it when I was around 8 years old, 12 years after it was made.

What a great list (and those added to it). I just recently watched Wind River and felt the cold down to my bones. Excellent movie set in Wyoming…

Yes! Cold films just make me feel colder…watching “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” is like spending two hours inside an igloo!

I like to wrap myself around a cuppa before I watch movies set in winter scenes. It helps. So do the three blankets I rolled in.

Excellent list of cold films. I’ve seen a few of them, The Thing was the coldest I normally don’t get cold from the movies but that one was just icy.
