pantone has unveiled its color of the year for 2024: *Peach Fuzz, a soft peach-beige that the company of color aficionados says is meant to embody “our desire to nurture ourselves and others.” the hue is “a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body and soul,” according to Pantone.
*because i’m called ‘peaches’ by some of the people closest to me, i’m happy with this choice
bye, bye, magenta – you’re so 2023

I don’t know what Pantone is, but I like the colour ‘Peach Fuzz’. I can imagine that painted on walls.
Best wishes, Pete.

It’s a paint producer – kind of sets the standard for the paint world

I used to pity colorblind people. Now I’m not so sure.

Happy year to come for you, Peaches! Don’t stand by too many newly painted walls, though, you might blend in too well.

I painted my kitchen this colour in 1986. Not sure I want to go back there.

If magenta or teal wanted to get this one’s attention, would they say, “You, hue!”?

Pantone isn’t a paint company, it’s a color standardization company, if that makes sense. They produce the color chips/samples, assigning names, numbers, and formulas for achieving each color/hue exactly. Then any two people or entities anywhere in the world can specify Pantone #xxx and see/produce exactly the same color.
Love the Monet quote!

Peach is one of my favorite flavors. It kind of tastes like it looks.

That’s not a bad nickname to have. And peach is an appealing colour, to boot.

A splendid color to picture 2024 in. While I’m a bit fuzzy about how one becomes the “hot” color for the year ahead, peach fuzz is certainly worthy.

Oh, Peaches, you must paint a room in your house, this color. Maybe you can get the paint free, because of your name and the description, which fits you perfectly. :)

I wore a peach bridesmaid’s dress once. Can’t say I looked that great in the hue. But I do love peaches, one of my favorite fruits.
