a lovely, blustery, turn your fingers blue, afternoon
spent with my grandson
welcoming our team home with a parade
a city full of pride and joy
for our very own
national champions
university of michigan wolverines
go blue!

I don’t follow sports at all, but I’m sure it was exciting. It sounds like a great time for you and your grandson!

“Neither snow nor rain” etc will stop the champion’s parade. I don’t know how they played those tubas with gloves on. Grandson will remember this day and probably carry on the tradition with his own ….. someday.

you are so right, nothing was going to stop it and I hope he does –

Delightful (except for blue fingers.) Pride and celebration – such a wonderful experience. I love the old buildings, especially the movie theater.

A fun memory for you and your grandson. When my son was in 4th grade, I won tickets to the Super Bowl. It was one of the most memorable trips I ever took, and to share in that experience with him made it all the more special.

Ahh, was hoping to say, “Go, Buckeyes!”–but Michigan’s okay, too. Sounds like you had a great time! When we lived in Ohio, we enjoyed visiting our neighboring state up north–beautiful place.

thanks, and tonight our pro team, the Detroit lions, won their first playoff game since I was a tiny girl, a few more games to take the championship. hockey team is doing great too but our pro basketball team has set the record for the most losses in one season in the entire nba, so that kind of evens things out. and I can’t wait to see the pics of your in your parade
