  1. I don’t find sand annoying, but I do get annoyed by:

People who park across two bays in a supermarket or car park. People who drive in the fast lane of a motorway at 50mph. People who walk around supermarkets talking loudly on their phones. (Same on public transport) Young men who wear their trousers pulled down around their butts.

I could go on all day, so will leave it there. :)
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. “Little dogs in purses!” Not sure what you he was referring to, but my mind went to the little magnetic dogs mothers carried in their purses to keep the little children occupied during church!!

  3. Spammers and scammers annoy me greatly, Beth. People who use the word hack like it’s a good thing when I think it’s a bad thing annoy me. Folks who think we’ve entered a short-cut era that allows no writing rules annoy me. That’s enough for now.

  4. What a fun, great idea for a blog post!

    Things I find annoying:

Being with people who brag about their belongings.

People who talk and talk, and never seem to care what you want to say.

Buying a fresh food product and getting home with it only to find it was spoiled or post date.

People who are cruel or mean.

  5. The High cost of living
Pronouns & an over abundance of labels
    Gender Confusion from others
Cats who silently puke, wake you up too early, try to trip you ect
People that dont know how to drive
People who mindlessly scroll social media while in a darkened theater (be it musical, play or movie)

  6. I, too wonder what no. 6 would be.

As for the tape situation – that drives me nuts.

This is petty but it bugs me all the same: I can see the name of the song playing in my car. The morning peeps put the next song up as the current one is playing. But I want to know what’s playing now!

People who put a dollar value on everything

    Wet socks

Scarf that doesn’t stay in place, keeping my chin warm when I walk

I could probably create a rather long list, but I shall abstain ;-)

  7. Wedding bands that play Proud Mary and/or Dock of the Bay.

    Spitters.

People who don’t know when to use their/they’re/there or apostrophe.

Waiters who ask “Are you still working on that?”

Anyone who says, “It is what it is.”

  8. Cottonwood in the list puzzles me… maybe the person is allergic to it? Beth, I also like your list — especially trying to unroll tape and it comes off in strips!

    A few of my annoyances…
    — my spring and fall allergies to pollen and ragweed
    — people who tailgate me when I’m driving
    — my brain for thinking too much when I’m trying to go to sleep and my brain won’t listen when I tell it to calm down already

  9. Fun list….sand and warm beer? I’m getting an image of a resort…one with Paris Hilton and a chihuahua in a purse? I like Jim’s thought below…annoyed by arrogant…and perhaps IGNORANT politicians? I’ll go with that. Just that. 😉

  10. Oh definitely little dogs in purses! But mostly my neighbours who built their garage closer to our house than theirs and now leave the outside lights on all night, which light up the inside of that side of my house all night. I like pitch dark when I sleep.

  11. Yodelers—haha! Maybe the government can come up with bipartisan legislation. 🤣 Doubtful—if one side suggested it, the other can’t go along with that.

  12. Great list, Jennie! I’d add: people who leave trash in public places or throw it out of their cars, people who use their phones in speaker-mode in public places, and people who drive at excessive speed that puts others in danger.
