  1. We have a wonderful Parade and Festival in Geelong, called the Pako Festa … The 2024 Geelong Pako Festa is set to grace Pakington Street on February 24th, marking one of Geelong’s most cherished days. This event is a celebration of the city’s vibrant and diverse cultures, exemplifying the unity that stems from embracing the best of different cultures, beliefs, lifestyles, and customs. The focal point of the Geelong Pako Festa is the spectacular parade. Taking place along the cosmopolitan shopping strip of Pakington Street in West Geelong, the festival is a captivating showcase of music, dance, food, and art. Live performances from community groups representing various corners of the world will entertain visitors, offering a rich tapestry of cultural experiences. Delight your taste buds with delicious global cuisines and explore the exquisite creations of artisans and craftspeople.

  2. If only we would use our energy and creative talents to produce beautiful things instead of the other wasteful things ….. what a wonderful world this would be.

I remember stuffing colorful paper into chicken wire (or something) to create a float for a Home Coming Parade in a little town high school parade. Happy teens working together.

  3. Hi Beth,

Have you changed something on your setup? For the last few days, when I try to “like” your post from my tablet (which I’ve been using for years), it’s coming back as unsecure and refusing to show your site / post. Everything seems ok from my PC. My tablet is android based – not Apple or Windows. So, you may have missed a few “likes” from others, too. I just thought I’d pass that along…
