Our TV has been on the blink for several weeks. Very quiet here. (Of course when I call the provider and ask when they are going to get our service fixed …. I am NOT quiet. In fact I use quite colorful and loud expressions.) Of course I still have the internet. But my husband needs the noise of the TV to be able to take his afternoon nap!

I was one of those teachers who got to school early. We used to have a great blue heron who showed around the same time. To see that majestic bird hunting in the field (the kids’ playground) before school when an hour later I knew the place would be teeming with children was quite a sight.

i love that time of day, and it is the sweet spot, before the children arrive, when the quiet magic happens
