It’s so funny because this morning was positively “chilly” compared to the last few days. It was a mere 66! And our high today will only go to 79. I’ll take it. I would love to watch the sunset but will probably watch the Oilers win their third game ;-)
On my WhatsApp I posted a mini video with heavy rain coming down and wrote to the scene: Happy beginning of summer 🌧🌞 But somebody stole our alps (because the low hanging heavy fog covered them up completely)…. went to an indoor/outdoor adventure pool and let it rain on me while being massaged by the jets and bubble generators…. it was heaven!
Nothing but endless clouds and rain here in southern Minnesota. So much flooding throughout the state. At our house in Faribault, we’ve gotten six inches of rain in the past week. It’s raining right now with more coming well into Saturday.
I didn’t manage to stay awake for the solstice sunset last night, unfortunately. Just my luck!
Best wishes, Pete.

Yep. Musical Miss dragged me out at dawn. Just as well because it’s been 159 billion degrees during the day.

It’s the shortest night too! As for heat, it’s holding back here this year – bring it on, I say!

Yes. Ours continues over the weekend with lots of rain. Of course, it is a long weekend for us but too bad, so sad ;-)

The solstice has captured imaginations since humans first noticed it. I’m glad the traditions continue.

I would have, but it rained in the morning and was overcast in the evening. Can I ask for a do over?

I have been making it to more sunsets than sunrises lately but I endorse them both.
