dreamed that i was working on a jigsaw puzzle
happily sorting it out, putting the pieces into place
i love solving puzzles
what a peaceful enterprise
then a section appeared
all white pieces
not sure exactly where to begin with it
a new challenge
so curious to see how i would solve it
but i woke up too soon.
i looked up dream analysis
about jigsaw puzzles
and the color white
it made such sense.
solving jigsaws represents
putting the pieces of your life back together,
reorganizing,
perhaps in new ways, after a life change
white represents blank pages, waiting to be written.
what a perfect solution to my retirement puzzle.
‘the solution often turns out more beautiful than the puzzle.’

That’s a good interpretation of an unusual dream. I dream all the time, but so far, no jigsaws!
Best wishes, Pete.

I do lobe jigsaws and always have some here for peaceful moments. However being retired is busy and I have to make time for a puzzle. :-)

I love dreams, for that reason. Mine have been short lately, but they are key to understanding questions I raise in daily life.

Yes, they are. Nowadays, I only remember that I have been dreaming, and maybe the general focus, but that is enough.

The perfect dream for retirement!!! It’s a huge adjustment. People just don’t realize. Retirement is so much more than not having to get up to go to the job every morning. It’s a complete reshuffling of goals and realizing you don’t have as much time left as you used to, so you need to figure out what’s most important to you NOW and how you can spend your time accomplishing those goals.

I, too, try to analyze my dreams. As I started reading your words, I went instantly to your recent retirement and how that is changing your life. So I’m not at all surprised you uncovered that interpretation.
I don’t do jigsaw puzzles, but the husband and eldest daughter do as do Randy’s siblings and their kids. We are trying to secure puzzles from a dollar store for a speed puzzling contest at an upcoming family reunion. Thus far, no success. We are searching for a certain brand, certain number of pieces and six of the same puzzle. We may need to go to Plan B.

when I was getting ready to write this post, I stumbled upon a worldwide jigsaw contest. they select 4 puzzles that must be done in 8 hours and teams compete. you could modify this to have 1 puzzle for each team, and as maybe 2 hours to complete it. make each one 500 pieces so it’s fair and no totally solid color puzzles. puzzles don’t have to match, but with 500 pieces, and not unusual puzzles, should be equally challenging. each would be unseen by the team before the contest.

I finally resigned from my Union.
They said because I’m a member in good standing, I can pay a fee to get back in, if I do another movie.
I just can’t imagine that. I’d have to pull a piece out of my retirement puzzle.
I’m so happy. It’s my time, it’s full and it’s going fast.
I hope you’re having a great time, Beth! It’s your time and you can do all the puzzles you want.
