it’s always quickly apparent
whimsy and joy step in
when i turn down a road
finding myself on campus
i think that many find themselves here.

My campus days are fondly remembered. A great learning opportunity and not just through books.

I see the Theodore Roosevelt line is from 1916. In the same essay he wrote: “He will take books with him as he journeys; for the keenest enjoyment of the wilderness is reserved for him who enjoys also the garnered wisdom of the present and the past.”
