i love milkweed and when i had access to it, i used it happily in my flower arrangements and wreath or whatever i was making. they are truly beautiful and whimsical.
Nature really is beautiful and mesmerizing if we look close enough. Autumn as I’m learning is just as fascinating as Spring, beyond its beautiful fall colours.

Monarch butterflies are disappearing and one reason is reduced habitat. Milkweed is critical to them. We should all plant some.

This is exactly the milkweed that I remember from my childhood up in the north east. It was everywhere! Now I’m paying attention to the milkweed plants that are butterfly gardeners have planted and how successfully they have attracted the monarch caterpillars in the past couple of years! The plants look very different, so I wonder if they’re just a completely different type?
it’s such a pretty time here
