the beer depot is cozied up to the funeral home
making me wonder
about this sort of mixed use
certainly an interesting juxtaposition
both have a long history
does one lead to the other or vice versa?
both owned by the same family way back when?
early days urban planning of some sort?

Our local undertaker’s premises in town is next door to a shop selling gifts and cards. I always thought that the shop must sell a lot of condolence and sympathy cards, so would have a larger stock of those than other card shops in the area.
Best wishes, Pete.

The Body Shop was located beside a funeral home when it started out, therefore the name Body Shop.

Yep, if I can’t get a slice of pizza, a document notarized, and a pedi on the same corner, than I ain’t in a real city. ;-)

This reminds of of most of the little villages up north from where I live. The hotel is right next to the church… Sin on Saturday, ask for forgiveness on Sunday!

There are probably plenty of people that are grateful that these two businesses are right next door to each other. :) Is this in Ann Arbor? Chris

I think you’re right…they can buy their own death and it’s a twofer for the owners.

Maybe the bar and funeral home should offer a two for one special.

I suspect it can go both ways. A funeral can make you want some alcohol and alcohol can get you in your grave 😁

Bizarre. Unless people can easily purchase drinks for their funeral reception, I guess.
