and it’s daylight saving time yet again….

Being in the UK this was me last weekend. I’m now sort of used to it but it gets so dark so early. We’re drawing curtains by 4.30 if its sunny and yesterday because it was overcast the light was on just after 4 :(
And I do get that about time going faster in the autumn.

ahh we have daylight saving time here. It began a few weeks ago and is warmly embraced in this State [ not all Aussie states have it]. The jacarandas all came out in bloom yesterday and Spring is in its stride :)

We have had this for a week and I am already fed up with it. Getting dark just after 4pm, and my SAD lamp is usually on before that. Roll on March!
Best wishes, Pete.

The Earth wobbles on its axis, like a top. Thus we have seasons, like winter and summer. The artificial Time Jiggle semi-annually is worse than futile. It doesn’t change how the earth spins.

I like the fall time change. You wake up same time and get an hour back. Although not looking forward to the earlier darkness later!

I Agree! It also confuses everyone affected by it. What is the point?

I like it being light that extra hour in the morning, Beth, more than I’m sad about it being dark an hour earlier.

We HAD daylight savings time, and now we have just plain standard time for a few measly months. Worked my 51st time change night in a row last night… I have to be the one to educate my bosses on how to handle the timesheets for these weird nights.

The photo made me smile… my family watched “Purple Rain” several months ago, since my wife is a huge Prince fan and thought our daughters needed to see the movie. I had forgotten that The Time had a good portion of screen time (haha) in the movie.

The time jiggle doesn’t change when the sun rises or sets. At 9 am, est, now, the sun is high in the sky and burning morning clouds away. Tell the US Congress that.

I guess the US Congress has nothing better to do than try to control when the sun rises and sets, or our perception thereof.

I may get around to resetting the oven/microwave/alarm tomorrow. Thank goodness the computer does it for us. My husband bought a new watch a couple of years ago and goes back to the store every 6 months to have it reset.

Please, let’s just pick one and stick with it. I know change is the only constant in life, but do we have to add to the chaos?

We have a monstrosity of a clock that is a pain to get down and change the time. Our move is to wait six months for it to be the right time again.

I always dread this time of year. It seems like my sleep schedule gets messed up a bit, and I’m tired for about a week. LOL!
