banned!

Standard

amazing

that my humor post about losing my glasses

was banned from facebook and put in jail

maybe the bot who banned it didn’t have its glasses on

i really don’t think

it would lure in any unsuspecting readers or be a danger to anyone

is it me?

or maybe there’s something i’m not seeing clearly.

‘i’m actually banned from the himalayas, because I’m too good at yoga.’

UPDATE:

today, within a couple of minutes of me posting this post

about them banning my post from yesterday,

i got a note from facebook banning this post, as well.

  1. beth, this is your personal invite to quit fb!
i was banned at least 4 or 5 times from ig, although i only have an account empty of photos and videos, just for the joy of following some friends and commenting. last time i was banned i had to send a selfie and i was tempted to send a pic of my dog or some cat but thought better of it. my ‚daughter of choice‘ quit after she got banned too – she had about 10 photos on her account, it‘s a totally random thing and has nothing to do with real people.
i got. on again and can comment once more. my selfie will be destroyed from their cloud 3 days later (let‘s hope but then it doesn‘t matter; i‘m wearing sunglasses and the photo dates back a while!). crazy world – but i love the quote!

  2. that is crazy. i wonder if it was the word “banned” that was the cause. And i have to admit i wonder if would of happened a couple of months ago. Is this the “normal” for the US. if it is it is a sad state of affairs IMHO

  3. I got reprimanded and had a post removed from Facebook that I had “shared” from another person about a dog and cat who were best friends and had babies at the same time. They shared nursing, and cuddling, and the pictures were so sweet. My comment on the post was, “Isn’t this lovely. They have 2 Mamas.” Guess that’s not allowed!

  4. I quit Facebook back in 2011 when the FTC came down on them for exposing everyone’s private information (and sharing it with business partners). I rely on texting, email, and even occasionally — gasp! — the phone. Any outfit that would ban you, Beth, isn’t worth mentioning!

  5. I feel your pain all too well, Beth. My blog has been banned from Facebook, as well.
It is tremendously frustrating. You and I are such violent and hate-spewing writers, right? Wrong. Sigh. I’ve tried and tried and not able to fix it.

  6. You are quite the troublemaker. There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind what gets banned these days. Wouldn’t you at least like to know what the reasoning could possibly be as faulty as the logic must have been?

  7. Facebook makes me laugh! I once posted something about a bird outside and was thrown in Facebook jail. – No trial or anything. lmao Yet – I’ve seen people cursing up storms on Facebook and nothing happens.
