biting off less than i can chew.

Standard

i’ve always been drawn to miniature anything
my imagination is in awe of them
also find food art to be fascinating
the more kitschy, the better
this is kind of my perfect combo
tempted to give these a whirl
i wonder
how many mini bites of this cake it would take before i was full?

  1. Perhaps my favorite Christmas gift ever was a metal ‘kitchen cabinet’ that contained tiny cake, pie, and muffin tins, along with the rolling pin and such. It also came with tiny boxed mixes that produced just enough batter or crust to fill the tiny pans. Once the boxes mixes were gone, I’d bake in tandem with my mother, using small amounts of whatever she was mixing up. I’m convinced that’s where my love of baking began — way back in c. 1952.

  2. So cute! I, too, am fascinated with tiny things. The tinier the better. Like stuff on the head of a pin or in the eye of a needle. But actually mixing, baking, and decorating cake this small is a whole ‘nother ballgame.
