Irish bars and traditional music seem to go hand in hand. But they are getting harder to find in England.
Best wishes, Pete.

Irish Sessions have pulled me in a time or twenty, Beth. Glad to hear you have a jam in Ann Arbor to fill your soul!

They’re impossible to resist as you know Mark. Every time I go remind myself that I need to go more often.

How wonderful that these musicians are playing for the love of music and to share their music and inviting anyone to participate. I happened upon a group of local musicians playing Irish music while walking at the local mall this winter. They meet once a month to play for the sheer love of music.

That’s so wonderful! And I’m hoping the younger children and teens dropping in to play with the group will gain confidence and do this themselves when they become adults

Amen to all of it. As a singer and musician myself (performing badly but with much enthusiasm and joy which creates enormous wellbeing) I can only say that music is – to me – as essential as breathing. And Jon Batiste is a one-in-a-lifetime genius with a huge heart and unlimited compassion. I ‚met‘ him on the Stephen Colbert Late Show and followed his path ever since.
