when I stopped by my daughter’s house
one of my grandsons
was working on some stuff
how did he know how to do this?
just turned my head for a minute
he learned how to do so many things.

Children are especially quick to learn. They’re full of curiosity. That’s why. And confidence too.

Well done to him for learning a mechanical skill and working with machinery and his hands. I wish I had done something like that when I was younger, as now I can barely manage to hang a framed photo!
Best wishes, Pete.

And as we get older, we are still not too old to learn! Must never stop, I say.
But oh… the ease of learning when we were younger…

I had to laugh when I saw the title. My granddaughter finishes her freshman year this week and I’m pretty sure she’d say she’s exhausted.

He’s the guy. My husband needs your grandson in the automotive machine shop, to train as an apprentice. Then Randy can retire (for good). Three apprentices have already left. Your grandson looks like he holds promise. We need men and women who can do hands-on work in the trades.

He definitely loves all of that. He loves how things work he loves taking them apart, putting them back together. He loves cars, planes, you name it. He and his dad build bikes. He worked on rebuilding an old telescope of his grandfather‘s. He’s just fascinated by all of these things.A hands-on guy.

It’s so amazing what we can teach ourselves in a little amount of time with some guidance and faith. :) I love this quote and it’s such a cool photo you took. :)

Talent comes from the heart I always feel. If someone puts their mind and heart into learning something, it’s a great thing. <3

It is cool that he actually wants to learn that kind of stuff. Most kids wouldn’t be interested.

The more skills we learn to do ourselves, the less we have to pay someone to do it for us. Besides that, I think it’s good for a person’s self-esteem.

It is, and very much out of my wheelhouse. He takes after both of his grandfathers and his father, who were all really interested in these things and learned them very quickly.
