one of my daughters

gave me

a small bunch of peonies

when suddenly

one bloomed 

 making a very grand entrance.

    • I love them, too, and I have one now, with cream colored blossoms and yellow centers. these looked like a small bouquet of pretty pink peonies, and just exploded into these massive blossoms!

  14. So sweet of your daughter to share this beauty with you. My single peony bush only recently emerged from the earth. My community once had a large peony farm and a parade featuring floats adorned with peonies. This was a long time ago, well before I moved here 43 years ago. If only, those peonies were still grown in Faribault.
