fiddleheads

baby ferns

one of the most beautiful things in nature

their name comes from their resemblance

to the scrolled end of a violin

there’s a certain magical quality about them.

‘if you listen carefully, the silence is beautiful.’

  1. Fiddleheads are yum. Boil them and serve with a dash of salt. So simple.

My in laws have fiddleheads that grow wild on the side of the road across the street from their home. When they visit us or vice versa, we often get a few ziplock bags of fiddleheads as gifts. That we freeze and enjoy throughout the year.

    Nature is amazing!

  2. i’ve taken hundreds, if not thousands of photos of baby ferns in my french garden….. they are beyond beauty – and once they start to unfurl, there is no stopping! nature is the best!
