this is so poetic and exactly as I feel. Today, our official autumn begins; we were so lucky to have some late summery wonder days last week, sat outside with friends yesterday eve (and i’ve got uncounted mosquito bites to prove it!), they went home and it started to rain…. we’re welcoming fall/autumn as of now!

that sounds lovely, Kiki, (except for the mosquitos), and I’m so ready for this season. felt like right place at the right time

That’s a lovely quote, and so true. Very autumnal here in Beetley today, the firsy ‘chilly morning’ since late March.
Best wishes, Pete.

I’ve been through the UP driving a few times but visiting only once. Would love to spend a week in the fall traveling along Lake Superior and seeing nature in its plumage. Keep having fun.

thanks so much, becky, it was my very first trip to the UP ever, and this was one of the most beautiful areas that we visited, though I visited so many, each so lovely in it’s own way. I felt lucky to be in the right place at this beautiful time

For the past four years, autumn hasn’t showed up here until December, but I await it eagerly! 🌵

I remember it as a beautiful time of year from my days in the UK, Beth (except the wet ones!). Here we don’t have the dramatic colours- just a gentle cooling xx

This is gorgeous, Beth, and right up our alley. Summer is so stubborn as we’re having a heat wave, should be 100 today. Ugh! I can’t wait for autumn. 🧡🍁

That picture says it all, Beth. Blue sky and lots of green all around. Nature at its finest, and a great time of year to take it in before the seasons change. Nice to be back here again!
