much loved and immortalized by many
feared by some
sasquatch
the legend, the lore
with sightings all over the upper peninsula
ever elusive, then right in plain sight, the big guy really gets around
—
‘i think Bigfoot (Sasquatch) is blurry,
that’s the problem. it’s not the photographer’s fault.
he is blurry and that’s extra scary to me.
there’s a large out of focus monster roaming the countryside.’

My grandson loves reading about all the ‘giants’ on every continent! Someone must know something…

Has there ever been a verified report of a Bigfoot hurting anyone? Or is it all just a hangover from Native American folk tales? I wish it was true!
Best wishes, Pete.

For a Sasquatch, being blurry is a squinty and squiggly way for him to stay camouflaged in the forest, Beth …

Not the photographer’s fault. Thats about the speed of the sightings I’m sure. Thanks Beth.

That elusive creature, like the Loch Ness monster….seems to be something that lives in our minds because isn’t it cool to think we haven’t seen it all?

if I ever ran into Sasquatch, I would just tell myself, “remember, he puts his pants on one leg at a time…”.

Haha! Love the quote… Sasquatch is blurry, not the photographer having no talent!

Beth, I love that quote. It occurs to me I have only ever seen it blurry in images. This makes me now want to see it in-person even more lol!

As a former full-time teacher, I never met a reluctant writer who was reluctant to write about Bigfoot/Sasquatch.
Do you recall the 6 Million Dollar Man episodes when he met Bigfoot? Lol. They still live fondly in my tween memories.

Our area is famous for its many Bigfoot sightings. I’m skeptical, but several blurry photos have been taken. Our nearby town of Willow Creek has an annual celebration called Bigfoot Daze. https://www.visitredwoods.com/event/bigfoot-daze-celebration/3689/

I think that every continent has a version of this creature, so much legend and lore surrounding him/her. yes, I read that area is particularly known for the ‘sightings.’

mitch hedberg was so funny. I’m not sure Bigfoot is funny and I can see that he’s blurry for sure.

Mitch sure was! I like to think of the Bigfoot type of creatures as gentle giants, (I hope.)
