I have a friend in Charleston who sometimes mentions Folly Beach; I think she once had fringe relatives who lived there. It’s nice to see these photos. The beach is quite different from those we enjoy.

I am at Holden Beach, and our tides are bringing up lots of shells and grasses. There is a lot to explore.

It’s funny you should share this one. Last Tuesday, I went for a walk along the St-Lawrence River and was shocked at just how low the tide was. I cannot remember being able to walk so far out as I did. But I did notice lots of stuff we don’t usually see.

I live near a river and woods, very different. and the beaches here in michigan are very different as well, all fresh water, no salt –
