now that it’s november
I went on my annual quest
to buy a planning calendar
for the coming year
lo and behold
after going to three stores
not one of them
had a single 2026 calendar
each store seemed puzzled
that none had arrived yet
is this a bad sign
for the coming year?
for the future?
what’s up with 2026?
am i not supposed
to be planning anything
after December 31, 2025?

I use a large paper calendar with big squares for each day. Julie normally buys me one with photos of Sharpei dogs, because of Ollie. She told me that she has already received it, so we don’t seem to have any issues with 2026 calendars in the UK.
Best wishes, Pete.

My sister buys a Chickens one each year. They are the coolest. Now I am wondering if she orders them because boy oh boy are calendars hard to find now!

My guess is that technology is killing off the print calendar business. I used to always buy one, but haven’t for many years.

wow – I wonder if there are no calendars because so many folks are digital? But surely many of us still want planning calendars and other paper options – I know I do! And they should be for sale right now??

I never have to buy a calendar because so many nonprofit organizations send them out with fundraising letters. They seem to think that if they send me a calendar, I’ll send them money. I never do, but they keep sending me calendars anyway.

it was funny that the employees hadn’t noticed and found it odd as well. I’ll check an office store tomorrow

Huh. Maybe our politicians trying to drive us back to the 50’s don’t want us looking forward? ;)

2026 has been erased by Skynet. We have 58 more days left. Well, hopefully it won’t be that bad.

I have already received a 2026 calendar from one of the charities that wants me to respond with a donation, Beth. If you can’t find any and we get closer to January, I will gladly mail it to you.

My wife and I have had our 2026 calendar for awhile. I do not know why we plan so far ahead at our age. I guess we are optimists.
