heading to our longtime friends’ fairy castle house
for an early christmas celebration
on a cold, snowy night
lots of warmth inside
food, drink, cheer, stories,
meetings, memories
singing with the piano
twelve days of christmas
part of each room
sang a different number
everyone tried
some got lost
some forgot
some sang lots
some sang little
piano played on
all were laughing.

Partridge in a pear tree? Check. Golden rings? Got it. But I always have trouble with the leaping lords and milking maids.

Well luckily I was one of the 8 maids a milking group with 3 others who had a good sense of timing and strong memories and handled being maids, in light of being male. I feel our room really was on it!
