on a cold and bright morning
at january’s end
the students organized
the townies arrived
we stood together
marched as one

Yes, it is their future that needs protecting, and good to know they can see that.

It was so inspiring seeing so many people out in the streets standing up for human decency and defending out democracy. I wasn’t able to be out there yesterday (attending a school event for grandmothers!) but I will be out there again. This is the time to step up.

Lots of support in greater Denver, too. Shops closed, some schools closed (either students or teachers or both walked out), etc. Looked like similar activity in many major cities.

Thank you for continuing to protest. I did, too, in Saturday’s cold here in southern Minnesota some 50 miles from Minneapolis. We had our biggest turn out ever with around 80 people. That may not seem like much. But we are a “red” city with a population of not quite 25,000. I feel the tide turning, momentum building.

That really is growing, considering the size of your town and the makeup of your political population. It is growing organically
