godzilla of the sea.

Standard

‘Nature has a way sometimes of reminding Man of just how small he is. She occasionally throws up terrible offspring’s of our pride and carelessness to remind us of how puny we really are in the face of a tornado, an earthquake, or a Godzilla. The reckless ambitions of Man are often dwarfed by their dangerous consequences. For now, Godzilla – that strangely innocent and tragic monster – has gone to earth. Whether he returns or not, or is never again seen by human eyes, the things he has taught us remain…The arrogance of man is thinking that nature is in our control, and not the other way around.’
-raymond burr – american actor who appeared in two godzilla films as a reporter (closing lines)

  1. David Attenborough has made some amazing wildlife programmes for the BBC. In one of them, he showed how hard it is for baby marine iguanas to reach the sea after hatching. Here’s a short clip

    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Poor Godzilla. I had to leave the movie because they were burning her eggs. Always have to kill everything. I think, for the most part humans are pretty much destroyers. Doesn’t matter how many of us there are, we can’t stop the evil ones from killing and killing and killing. Raymon Burr was right.

  3. Nature truly is amazing in the diversity of life around us – and this is just planet Earth. It’s awe inspiring to think of what else is out there. Marine iguanas are kinda cute – remind of cats for some reason. Who knew sea lions were their predators!
