dream clocks.

Standard

‘calendars and clocks exist to measure time, but that signifies little because we all know that an hour can seem an eternity or pass in a flash, according to how we spend it.’

never enough time.

and once again

the meaningless disruption

of daylight savings time

has returned

 leaving

many of us

unmoved by it.

what time is it anyway?

Standard

and with the return of daylight savings time,

this quote is more relevant to me than ever.

i literally just want to know what is the right time?

what it isn’t.

Standard

“in the time it takes to say ‘now,’ now is already over.

it’s already ‘then.’ ‘then’ is the opposite of ‘now.’

so saying ‘now’ obliterates its meaning,

turning it into exactly what it isn’t.”

-ruth ozeki, a tale for the time being

my life’s interpretation of the above passage from ruth’s beautiful book :

by the time i get my clocks reset,

the time will change back again to the time it was when i started

like it never happened

until it happens again.

daylight saving time has arrived once again
