walked downtown through the snow to meet my friend for brunch on this beautiful, snowy day. i knew it was time to go out, before i went a bit stir crazy like jack’s character in ‘the shining,’ after i posted this note to myself on the inside of my front door. apparently, i was craving one last rasher of bacon, before being snowbound for the next day or so, with nary a slice in the house.

That’s the sign that should be on the front of ambulances. We all know what ambulances are, they’re so demanding and loud, but bacon? It’s so quiet and patient and deserving.

Mmmmm. Bacon. We had some extra crispy bacon yesterday, and the whole house smelled divine. I wish we had more. Even in the deep south, we’re having a deep freeze. My daughters’ daycare is closed and some bacon would sure help this mama survive the day stuck inside!

Beth you are a grown up and you make your own decisions. You are a beautiful woman, and Love you and no matter what you eat. You will always be my friend. No matter what bad thing you ever do i will figure out a way to justify it in my head and move past it. If you ever should find yourself overcome with guilt about anything you ever do. You just tell me and i will provide you with a solution to make yourself feel great about it. Having said all that.
Yes your trek through the snow this morning will offset the fact that you fulfilled your desired to clog the pathways your body uses to deliver blood to your vital organs with cholesterol and fatty acids shall be over looked. You are hereby absolved and you need not worry another moment about this.

I love to make a bacon, egg and cheese on toasted english muffins. I don’t know why the bacon seems to taste better that way but it does. Maybe it’s because of the way it hangs out from the sides of the muffin?

Oh, the aromatic scent of bacon would get me to do almost any task! Also, chocolate…. So, glad you got out and about! It is fun to walk for awhile in the snow and your destination sounds like fun! Smiles, Robin

Bacon makes the world go round. Maple bacon wrapped around asparagus, green beans or broccoli cooked with bacon, BLT’s heavy on the bacon, etc. And praise the Lord for whoever invented thick sliced bacon.
