Go with the sock monkeys, they are making the best of the situation and their synchronized snow angels look like fun! But most of all, be safe and stay warm …

Holy crap, Beth! When the snow emergency is detailed in feet, it’s no time to (sock) monkey around. I hope you have enough bread, milk, eggs (and bacon) to stay comfortable in the cottage.

mark – oh yes, i’m sure i could survive being snowbound for a year or so, with the food and games i have here, though i may have to walk out again for another bacon fix in the next day or so.

When the weather shuts down Michigan, well that’s some kind of weather! If you’re safe and secure (your responses suggest you are), then fun is the ONLY option.

I love that Snow book! My cover is almost off it, it even has been taped with duct tape! I know, time to buy another copy! Snow angels with monkeys were adorable and so sorry about the feet of snow! We just have frigid temps and blowing snow, so far…. Stay warm, my friend!

Going through your blog because I’m always missing your entries, and your entries make me smile, and I came across this gem. When I was six I moved from Florida to New York. As part of a present, my old kindergarten class mailed me a box of goods to my new home on New York. It was so kind! As part of my present this book was there- a celebration of my new life in New York, with snow! Something I had never seen. Every student signed the book and wrote me something. I still have the book today and cherish it so much.

ah, i’ve got it now. again though, how wonderful and i’m so happy you still have it. your move to new york was like someone moving somewhere so exotic, from a little kids’ perspective. as if you were moving to the arctic circle.
