What do you think Bill meant by that quote? Do you think he meant it as “Not every closed eye is sleeping?…” etc.? I feel like that would make more sense to me.

Tis brilliant, Beth! I take it to mean that not everyone “rests” while sleeping & not everyone truly sees what they’re looking at. Without our heart and mind engaged our eyes are empty vehicles by which we “see.” Just my thought… :)
