what a great day at the farm, where we met farmer chris, who taught us many things.
we learned that eggs come in all colors, and shapes, and sizes.
we learned that the littlest of baby goats will follow us, just to be part of a group.
we learned that even a strong-looking pony, needs to be gently cared for.
we learned that it was nice to have someone waiting there to greet us when we returned back to the barn.
and when the farmer on a tractor gave us a bumpy ride on a wagon,
we learned the world is even bigger than we thought,
and filled with many more wonders ahead,
yet to discover.

Fantastic. It is important for kids to make that connection with nature as early as possible in their lives. Great job.

As old and crotchety as I am, I still remember the joys of the school trips when I was little – trips to the seashore, the farm, the bakery, etc. We travelled in the big yellow school bus with parent monitors and teachers. It was always an adventure and made a lasting impression on me that fertilized a desire to learn. And it was fun! To see the amazed faces of the little ones in your blog really brings back memories. Thank you Beth!

Love that old-timey farmer stuff. I was an Iowa farm kid myself. Used to feed chickens, gather eggs, and pull weeds out of bean fields.
