by day’s end
my three daughters
will be
on three different continents
africa, australia, america (north)
and i
will be
like the moon
quietly
looking over
each of them
with light
and pride.

This is my favorite by far. As a mom, my heart reaches out to you!
The picture Is perfect; because it doesn’t matter how far they are, does it?
My daughter is in the Coast Guard, and I haven’t gotten to see her in 7 months!
(She’s way on the East Coast. I can’t imagine if she were on a different continent!
Thanks for sharing. I needed that today. ~Marie :0)

This so beautiful, Beth. Mama Moon – casting just enough light so as not to blind the path of her loved ones. Lovely. ❤ ~Karen~

So far apart, and yet you all look up at the same moon. I feel the same way when I’m apart from loved ones.

My only child, there we go he’s 40 and he’s still my child, lives in London. He has a severe deformity of the spine, yet works as a personal trainer. He lives in a rented room and spends most of his days in pain and I can do nothing for him, except send love and healing. So far away………

I remember a time when my children were in three different states, and I thought that was amazing. You have me beat by a long shot. I love your poem and the picture.
Now I am the one living on a different continent from my children. It was never part of the plan, but the mother moon image sure does help. 🙂
