Oh yeah, I always have a book within arms reach and at night it is hard to put it down to go to sleep. What happens when i do put it down is funny (right now, if not when it happens). I’ll turn out the light and close my eyes and… the book keeps going in my head through plot twists and character changes and scene changes right into sleep. And it isn’t analysis but rather story line. When I wake up in the morning I have to pick up the book and see where I stopped reading because i can’t tell in my memory the difference between the read material and the imaginary material. Ha!
Beth, I love reading and I do tend to keep on turning pages, then other nights I fall asleep with the book on top of my face, or a bent up page under my chin…. Smiles for this great one!
Hi, I am so glad I found your blog. This post reminded me of the feeling we had hearing my Mom come down the hallway to tell us to turn out the lights and go to sleep! Busted ;). Excellent blog.

Lol – like they say, I don’t know what kind of books I appreciate more at night; those that keep me up, or those that put me to sleep! 😀

I miss the nights of staying up all night reading. I need to resolve to do that in the coming year.
