ha! Too funny Beth. i’m an only child so i didn’t get that, but when my Grandma was alive (she had 8 children) she would call my mother any one of about 5 names – often in a row.

I had only one daughter but my mother had five of us. She sputtered over the wrong name many a time. <3 <3 Happens. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

This made me laugh out loud, Beth. My husband is one of seven kids. His mother always goes through several names before landing on the right one, especially since six of them are boys.

Oh my kids even respond to the dogs names, because when I get mad, I just go down the list until I blurt the right name out. Funny post!!!

In our family we all answer to ANY other family member’s name at this point – growing up my mom would run down the list of people and pets and sooner or later she finally got to the right name. :)

Call them whatever you want, as long as you call them, Beth. Besides, you named them! ;-)

My hubs answers to my son’s name and vice versa, and they don’t even have the same initial :) The picture reminds me of the need to name the Osprey chicks at some point…

Lucky for you, you believed in alliteration when you named them. :)

Like my foolish parents naming me Betsy and my sister Becky. We learned to just respond to whatever.

Beth … It doesn’t matter how far apart they are in the alphabet. I’ve even mixed up my daughters’ names (Danielle and Jennifer) with our cat, Tumbleweed. ;-)
