I love Oscar Wilde( clapping hands) and this quote sums it up just beautifully Beth.. I do not know what I would do with that much chocolate.. perhaps not resisting temptation…
Reminds me of The Marshmallow Test. I tried to find their results about what age kids start resisting temptation, but found that subsequent studies are far too interesting. (Like the 2012 study where they broke a promise to half the kids before having them try it…) I’ve found my rabbit hole for the morning. Thank you!
Nicely waiting and not dipping the finger into the frosting, either! He is a handsome 4 year old and such a sweetheart, I can see his sensitive side to him. Is he the grasshopper and bee whisperer, Beth? Smiles! The thick frosting balloon piece would be delicious to save for me, please!
Four or forty, I’ve not changed. Very tempting indeed. Did he succumb?
I recently watched an amazing television programme on British television called ‘The secret life of four year olds’. It was on you tube. If you get a chance you should check it out you would love it.
Decisions, decisions ….

I don’t blame him for dipping his finger into the frosting; since It was his birthday! He can do what he wants to! (No crying like the song, though!)

My daughter ate the tops off all the cupcakes when she was two. At four, they are so responsible. They wait for the frosting to be put on first. LOL
