the kinder team in action on the big dig,
in search of dinosaur bones.
some do the labor,
some supervise.
their dino artifacts go on display
for all to enjoy
in the playground museum.

the dinosaur’s eloquent lesson is that if some bigness is good,
an overabundance of bigness is not necessarily better.

I’ve always thought that where one dug for dinosaurs was as much a matter of guessing as science. t
That said, there is no reason why they could not be found under what appears to be a play structure or the porch. And all large operations like a dinosaur dig require good managers to keep track. 😀

I love these kids, Beth! So cool, did you read them a book about anthropology? Do most kids know about dinosaur “digs?” You are such an awesome teacher. 🙂

Always wanted to be a paleontologist. I follow paleontology news. They are finding new stuff all the time and theories are being modified all the time.

It’s nice that you get to witness it pretty much constantly. There must be struggles and negative aspects, but you’re cool enough not to dwell on those things.
