When I taught second grade, I had my students write stories once a month. We used all kinds of prompts–music, events, what ifs–it was so much fun. This brought back wonderful memories. Enjoy!

That’s also how it is for me when I begin a new book or story. The adventure begins the moment I write the first word. May your students grow up to love reading and writing. They’re off to a great start by having you as their teacher.
