Ooh! So great you had a fire to stay warm by, Beth! I am grateful for gas heat but have been unlucky in past winters (long ago) to not have anything but electric and the cold seeped into the place quickly!

yes, it was at my friend’s house. if it was at my cottage, there would not have been a fireplace, but still lots of warmth i hope )
