  1. Beth, “Eigengrau” was not in my 4-inch-thick dictionary, but “eigen” is a prefix that means “peculiar to,” and it is German. I wanted to learn how to pronounce it, so if you speak German, you can probably figure it out. They say if you use a word three times in conversation or writing, you will remember it forever. I am in the eigengrou about how to pronounce this word.
