“I know how difficult it is going to be,
but I also believe that if just in one place we can win the battle over greed and callousness,
that one victory may swing the tide over the entire world.”

A lovely sentiment, Beth. I keep looking for reasons for wars, that is why I’m obsessed with reading and writing about war.

I believe Serhii Vasylkivsky is the first Ukrainian artist I’ve ever heard of. According to the article about him at,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serhii_Vasylkivsky
many of his works got destroyed in World War II. I worry that the same fate will befall the works of other Ukrainian artists now.

Difficult does not mean impossible. And inside the word impossible is the word possible. We can do this. We can fix this.

I love her feelings of optimism—something I think we all have to possess is the belief that our small actions can make a difference, maybe not in the world but an individual’s life.

I agree with this thinking. Every action we take changes the world. The degree matters less than the action. Love this, Beth. ❤️
