When my kids were young they ran after an unfamiliar truck, bought some goodies and then discovered they had ordered TAMARIND pops!

For the times we might mumble about all of the things kids today have that we didn’t, we had some things as kids that they never will. Classic example! Orange creamsicle will always be #1 with me!

Loved the strawberry shortcake bars, and the chocolate one just like it. For a long time the kids in my neighborhood were all about screwballs – the one with the gumball at the bottom. Bomb pops were another favorite!

For me, nothing better than a simple vanilla ice cream OR a scoop of sorbet. But then, we don’t have that choice of fancy-stuff, and I am not a dessert/pudding person. However, just yesterday when I thought I was gonna die of heat after my doctor’s visit, I found a new brand of the most wonderful, natural vanilla ice cream slab, covered in black choc and almonds – which really changed my mind about ice cream. Vanilla from real stuff and Fairtrade chocolate…… mmmh

As a kid, there is no sound more welcome or exciting on a summer afternoon than an ice cream truck. I never had a go to treat, but went with the flow. Summer is awesome. Peace.

Wow. Ice cream bars, push ups and ice cream sandwiches. Loved them all and when we heard the bells/music, we all ran to the street.

In Oklahoma, before a/c, we’d have never survived without the ice cream man. I usually got either grape or cherry Popsicles, or sometimes Drumsticks.

I remember Mr. Cool driving through our street when we live in the US. We heard the melody of the truck from afar and my daughter loved going to the ice cream truck. Gosh, she was three.. now she is almost 27. What a time that was 💖

We had a guy in our neighborhood just recently…older….kept ringing his bell in the ice cream truck. He looked like he hated his job…there was kid down the street and came up to the truck….the ice cream man keep going. First time I saw that one.
