(not me, but a trio that has my same musical style)
nothing better
on a sweltering hot day
than having a front row seat
belting out fan karaoke.

Nothing adds a little spice to a song than mechanically induced vibrato!

I do my fair share of karaoke around the house…but I can’t say my wife is a “fan.” Staying cool and belting out a song or two today!

Oh, goodness, I remember doing this, singing in front of a fan, my voice vibrating. Thanks for bringing back a memory I’d long forgotten. I love your posts, Beth, just love them. Always a delightful way to begin my day.

Of course I did that as a kid! Hadn’t thought about it in decades. We spent a lot of time in front of those fans before a/c came along.

I love NIN. Reznor made the most of his music theory.

They did a song — Hurt — that helped me understand my brother. Johnny Cash’ cover is insipid in comparison. That isn’t even my favorite song of theirs.

I loved that song

Me too, I fall apart when I hear it, though. These two verses wipe me out.
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way
