My memories of the event are foggy. Perhaps that’s for the best.
But I do feel – not exactly sorry – but empathy – for those who will not have a good year. I spent a lot of time pretending.
I am happy for those who have had some debt relief.
I’m tired tonight, my plumber’s back is aching, my poet’s pen is dry, my heart is yearning, my mind is thinking of peace, and my soul is singing the same old tune. And now days I’m travelling light..
I saw someone walking a duck in San Francisco and yes, it was on a leash…I love our wild and wacky world, and I actually have a turtle story coming soon! Love what you share!
Perfect pic and quote to fit the moving in college experience. Oh, how I miss my son, now in his second year of grad school nine hours away. I haven’t seen him since Christmas.
A unique time. Young adults excited about the future, hugging old adults whose eyes are filled with tears remembering the past.

I didn’t go to university, but when I left home at 19, my mattress was tied to the top of my car. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

The other sweet part of leaving home, paraphrasing Robert Frost, is knowing “home” is a safety net where they have to take you in if you go back.

All across campuses, young people are finding ways to move their furniture in dangerous ways (not this one) that would make their parents cringe.
