loaded up
with bushels of nuts and piles of books
ready for the coming season
you’ll often find me sitting
in the quiet of the early morning
with a steaming cup of coffee
tapping away at my blog
telling the day’s story
reading others’ stories
smiling by the light of the screen.

That’s a happy picture to paint, Beth. It makes me smile as I do much of my best blog work upon waking as well, in our small house with my coffee at my side.

Similar to my routine. I’m reading and tapping out poems. My blog is kind of an afterthought. I think I added one last month, but I’m not sure.

Except for the bushy tail and the bushels of nuts (I do have a big can of cashew halves and pieces to munch from, however), this describes me to a “T”! I love the story and the quote! This may be one of y favoritist (most favorite) blogs this year!

I love that quote. I blog because my dogs expect me to sit here, drink my coffee, and write something. When I tried to change the routine, they were disturbed, especially Bear who determines our safety based on our routine.

Wonderful, Beth. I’m an early morning and also a late evening reader/writer/blogger. I want to be in that tiny home in the tree, too. Such a lovely poem.
