I resemble the ‘quote’ Beth … I failed English in mid-term of my graduation year but after being tutored, I managed to pass and get into University the next year … hmmm, and here I am now, writing ‘poetry’ ???

I always got poor grades in English (in the US) because of my spelling, which my teachers marked as misspellings when I knew they were written correctly… Have a great weekend Beth!

As an American expat hiding on a small Scottish island, I too live a life of missing ‘Z’s and gratuitous extra ‘U’s, so I sympathize. And I enjoy a nice line of little ducks.

If I were to find that page at the beginning of a book, I would read the book no matter what it was alleged to be about. That kind of sense of humor would make a story about anything worthwhile!

Hilarious! Canada is full of Zs and extra Us too, and since English is not my first language, I don’t always get it right. I use them interchangeably.

I love this and it annoyed the bleep out of me that all the Harry Potter books had to be “Americanized” – really? They can’t handle a random “U” and “S” instead of “Z”?

I find this funny and enlightening. English is English and spellings are different for the diverse areas. It’s just the way it is. I liked that letter, though. And appreciate the Zzzzzs the author offered at the end. Thanks for sharing. You rock. xo
